You Can't Rush Your Healing...
And neither can we. Thank you for your patience.
Short and sweet today, folks. Thank you very much for your ongoing support.
Earlier this summer, as many of you know I experienced a life event that now in hindsight, I think everyone has to go through in order to fully appreciate life. I buried my 4-legged best friend, Darwin.
The grief chapter that followed has been nothing short of a roller coaster… Everything from an identity crisis to immense physical pain and emotional weight like I’ve yet to experience… a full ride, some would say.
Alas… everything is temporary…
Two weeks ago I started seeing the fog clear. It was down at Canmore Folk Fest, back in the mix shooting photos freelance for our pals Rocky Mountain Live. I got to experience first hand all the things right (and wrong!) with the music industry.
The music was awesome. Met a ton of really cool people. Both on and off stage.
Sadly, the wild performance schedules, the extreme weather, the horrid nutritional options put into perspective again for me what’s really needed: more education on how to build a sustainable and successful career in music.
Almost every artist, stage hand, sound tech and volunteer at the event I got to talking with were absolutely burnt out. That tells me it’s a systemic issue in the industry.
You’re thinking… “Mike, there’s gotta be some good news, right?”
Right. There is!
Needless to say, Canmore got me thinking again. The return of “The Rock Doctor” is not impossible… it’s inevitable.
I’m currently in talks with a couple locations in Calgary to re-launch MusicFit as the world’s only holistic, deep health service for artists and I wanted to let you all know first.
I’ll be slowly announcing the news over all channels and we’ll have pre-sales for everything movement, nutrition and mindset for musicians go up on Friday. Stay tuned, and thanks once again for all of your help. For now, please enjoy some of the snaps and share this one out with another artist friend who needs a little lifestyle upgrade. 👇

*Note* You probably understand by now that I goofed the order on the photo gallery caption… and Kim and Donovan are in the bottom right. I’m unable to change the caption, so just love me please. I for one think human error is beautiful in a world consumed by the em dash and ridiculously unnatural ~ChAt GpT~ language at every turn. Love ya! 🤙
