A Letter from the Editor
A call for contributors committed to creating a sustainable music ecosystem
I want to start with something simple and true.
I have tried to build this before on my own.
I learned a lot. I burned out. I stepped back.
What became clear over time is this:
MusicFit Underground is simply unable to exist through one person’s energy. It needs artists with capacity, commitment, and care for each other to make it real.
This is an invitation to build something together.
MusicFit Underground exists to support artists who want to make real work, create real events, and place music in the hands of people who value art, health, and creativity. The focus is on sustainability, reliability, and long-term relationships.
Where other collectives, labels and agencies are seeking followers, we differ here at MusicFit…
I am looking for collaborators.
There are real pathways taking shape here.
MusicFit Live is being developed as a touring format that brings workshops, listening rooms, and After Hours gatherings into cities where artists and audiences care about longevity and well-being. This includes early conversations with Loose Leaf Agency and partners who understand how to build sustainable touring models.
There is work happening in Southern Florida through SoFlo that brings together healthy music culture, professional hockey communities, and wellness-centered events. This work connects artists with audiences who show up consistently and value care and presence.
The neuroacoustics division is growing as a library of sound built by real artists for health and wellness professionals. This is an artist-led licensing model designed for humans and real spaces. The intention is to create income streams rooted in integrity, collaboration, and trust.
These projects are really just a bunch of solid ideas right now. They need people to make ‘em happen. Artists who want to contribute, shape, and steward them together. Otherwise they die in the “coulda been…” pile of broken dreams we all know so well…
I’m here to make a difference. Hell-bent on living up to the message I’ve been spearheading for 11 years now; sustainable creativity begins with health. These two worlds are mutually dependent on one another. And, I’m but one voice. It can feel like I’m shouting into the void at times. I want some gang vocals at least… lol
Seriously though, MusicFit Underground grows through people who show up with care for themselves and for the room. It values consistency over hype and participation over performance.
If you are an artist with capacity to help build, organize, create, or contribute in meaningful ways, there is space for you here. If you care about building events that feel real and music that lives in community, you are welcome in the conversation.
This is a shared effort.
It always has been.
Thank you for being here and for considering what we can build together.
Much love, y’all. ✌️
